The poor suckers are blindly working their butts off not knowing that they need above all else, to firstly invest time and effort to "read the creek"...and then pan (sample) materials at the locations that are most likely (a "prospect") to hold concentrations of colors (this will be the low pressure areas)...and then excavate (mine - dredge) the spot that gives up the highest number of colors per each pan of sampled dirt.
